MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME PROGRAMME (MM2H)

MM2H is promoted by the Government of Malaysia to allow foreigners who fulfill certain criteria, to stay in Malaysia for as long as possible on a multiple-entry social visit pass.  The Social Visit Pass is initially for a period of ten (10) years, and is renewable.


Eligibility

It is open to citizens of all countries recognized by Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Applicants are allowed to bring their spouses and unmarried children below the age of 21 as dependants.


Government Support

This programme is initiated, organised and launched by the Malaysian Government and is thus one that the Government will continuously seek to improve, to ensure its success.


Culture & Language

The Malay language (Bahasa Melayu) is the national language of the country; English is the second language but other languages can be freely used and practised. Similarly the Malay culture is dominant in the country because the Malays are the dominant race in Malaysia and in the region. But other cultures can be practiced very freely and there is a free intermingling of different cultures.


Financial Requirement

Applicants are expected to be financially capable of supporting themselves on this programme in Malaysia.
 
(a)    Applicants aged below 50 years are required to show proof of liquid assets worth a minimum of RM500,000 and offshore income of RM10,000 per month.
(b)    Applicants aged 50 and above may comply with the financial proof of RM350,000 in liquid assets and off shore income of RM10,000 per month
(c)    New applicants who have purchased properties worth at least RM 1 million qualify to place a lower fixed deposit amount upon approval.

MM2H是由马来西亚(马国)政府拟定的一项计划,开放给合格的外国人在马国居住最少10年,其后可以再延长。申请者可以携带配偶和21岁以下未婚子女随同。马国是一个多元种族,多元文化及多元宗教的国家,马来语是官方语言;英语是第二语言;其他语言也可以自由使用。

申请人基本条件
(a)  50岁以下:最少拥有定期存款马币500,000; 每月有马币10,000收入 
(b)    50岁或以上:最少拥有定期存款马币350,000; 每月有马币10,000收入 
(c)    拥有马币一百万价值房产的申请者定期存款可减低
